Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our policy on refunds and cancellations of donations made to Udaan Foundation.

Nature of donations

Donations made to Udaan Foundation are voluntary contributions towards our charitable programmes. Once a donation is successfully processed, it is generally not refundable, as funds are committed to programmes on the ground.

Erroneous or duplicate transactions

If you have made a donation in error, entered a wrong amount, or been charged more than once for the same donation, write to [email protected] within 7 days of the transaction with your name, transaction ID and the date of payment. Genuine cases verified by our team will be refunded in full.

Refund processing time

Approved refunds are processed through our payment gateway, Razorpay, to the original payment method within 7 to 10 working days. The exact credit time may vary depending on your bank.

Failed transactions

If your payment failed but the amount was deducted from your account, it is normally reversed automatically by your bank or the payment gateway within 5 to 7 working days. If it is not, contact us with the transaction details and we will follow up with the gateway.

Cancellation

A one time donation cannot be cancelled after it has been successfully processed. If you have set up any recurring contribution, you can stop future instalments at any time by writing to [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing cycle.

Tax receipts on refunds

If a donation is refunded, the corresponding donation receipt and 80G certificate stand cancelled and must not be used for tax purposes.
