Privacy Policy

How Udaan Foundation collects, uses and protects your information. Effective from June 2026.

Who we are

Information we collect

When you donate, volunteer, subscribe or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, PAN where required for tax receipts, and details of your donation or message.

When you browse the website, we may collect standard technical information such as browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location, through cookies and similar tools.

How we use your information

We use your information to process donations, issue receipts and 80G certificates, respond to your messages, share programme updates if you have opted in, improve this website, and comply with applicable laws including the Income Tax Act and the Companies Act.

Payments

Online payments are processed by Razorpay and other RBI compliant payment gateways. Your card, UPI and banking details are entered directly on the secure systems of the payment gateway and are never stored on our servers. Payment data is handled according to the privacy policy of the gateway and applicable PCI DSS standards.

Sharing of information

We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers such as payment gateways and email services, with our auditors, and with government authorities when required by law.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies to remember your language preference and to understand website traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as the language switcher, may not work without them.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information. Donation and receipt records are retained for the period required under Indian law, after which they are securely deleted.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements, by writing to [email protected]. We respond within 7 working days.

Children

Our website may be used by people of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
