NCW & CPGRAMS

File a complaint with the National Commission for Women or escalate any grievance to the central government.

National Commission for Women

The NCW takes complaints of crimes against women: domestic violence, harassment, dowry, cyber crimes and police inaction. File online at ncwapps.nic.in, by post, or by email.

The Commission can summon police reports, set up inquiry committees and recommend action. Filing is free and can be done in any language.

CPGRAMS

CPGRAMS is the central public grievance portal at pgportal.gov.in. Use it when a government department, including police, fails to act. Every complaint gets a tracking number and a mandated reply timeline.

Attach your earlier complaint copies for a stronger case.

Which one should I use?

Use NCW for crimes and safety issues concerning women. Use CPGRAMS to escalate inaction by any government office. Using both together often moves cases faster.
