When should I call 1098?

Call when a child faces abuse, child marriage, trafficking, child labour, abandonment or is missing. Childline responds to every call concerning a child under 18.

Teachers, neighbours and even children themselves can call. The caller identity stays protected.

What happens after the call?

A Childline team member reaches the child, ensures immediate safety, and connects the case to the Child Welfare Committee for long term protection and rehabilitation.
